Once you have mastered the basics of PHP from our 'Learn PHP' series of tutorials, you can move on to learning more advanced PHP concepts. PHP Date PHP has the ability to dynamically generate the time and date. Using a simple line of code we are able to include this on our site, however it is important to know how the formatting works. PHP Include you can save yourself a great deal of time with the use of the PHP include function. The include function takes a file name and simply inserts that file's contents into the script that calls used the include function. PHP File When you are manipulating files you must be very careful because you can do a lot of damage if you do something wrong. Common errors include editing the wrong file, filling a hard-drive with garbage data, and by mistake deleting a file's contents. PHP File Upload A very useful aspect of PHP is its ability to manage file uploads to your server. Allowing users to upload a file to your server opens a whole can of worms, so please be careful when enabling file uploads. PHP Cookies A cookie is often used to identify a user. A cookie is a small file that the server embeds on the user's computer. Each time the same computer requests a page with a browser, it will send the cookie too. With PHP, you can both create and retrieve cookie values. PHP Sessions A PHP session variable is used to store information about, or change settings for a user session. Session variables hold information about one single user, and are available to all pages in one application. PHP Email PHP Secure Email PHP Error PHP Exception PHP Filter
